Sources and methods
These sites help us discover topics and explain science clearly. Before publication, we check the original study, data or institutional release and name the sources below each story. A press release alone does not confirm a finding. We may learn from another publication’s approach, but we do not copy its text. NASA and ESA images are published with creator credits, sources and usage terms. The planet, ice, octopus and AI illustrations were generated with AI and are not photographs of the discoveries described.
